The FETC Virtual Conference

This week a colleague of mine sent me to a link for this conference. It was all on-line and had an exhibit hall and lounge. I wasn't fully able to take advantage of all of it, but what I saw was incredible. The ideas are great and lots of interesting weblinks. There is almost all downloadable PPTs to remind you of what they are conferencing on.

So far, my favorite has been discussions in many of the sessions for the need of Professional Development to change. Teachers must have play time to use the new technology. Teachers must be encouraged to go to all training. Training should always be in small groups of 15 or less. I would encourage you to attend the conference when you have time, it is up until July 23rd, 2009.

Eyes on Art

AT&T has some incredible lesson plans. I love this one on Art. Click title above to get there. It talks about the appreciation of Art which a lot of students might not be learning.

Our next tech fair

Getting ideas for our district tech fair and I am thinking of doing a SPEED GEEKING. This works just like Speed Dating. But with people sharing their technology.
